Mini Golf Tournament Report
(Updated
May 22/99)
On Friday, April 23rd we had the 2nd annual mini-golf tournament
in support of the bursary. It was a great turnout with 18 golfers from
all over the place. It was great to see some new faces (Brian, Craig, etc.)
and some faces that we haven't seen in a while (Tammy, Derek) and of course
all of the regulars that make all of the events fun to be at (you know
who you are!). Thank you
everyone
who came out for all of your support and good sportsmanship.
Congratulations
to
John Stephens who came in 1st for the second year in a row!
Since
he lives closest to the course, I can't help but wonder if he's been practicing!!
And Congratulations also to Mark Purcell, at least when you come
in last you do it with grace and gusto! Bravo!!
I would
also like to take this opportunity to thank our generous benefactors.
First
and formost, Jim
Cimba, LLB who donated $100 to the bursary through sponsorship of this
event. And to all of those who donated prizes for the participants
(I'm happy to say that nobody went home empty handed thanks to their generousity)...Canada
Trust, Slumberger Industries, and Scout Shop - Central Escarpment Region
(as well as my mom, Charlotte Wiseman who put in a couple of prizes as
well).
This
event was great fun and we ended up raising almost $400 for the bursary
fund. Congratulations to all of our golfers! I have included
the final scores and standings so you can see who the "ringers" are for
the September tournament!
