Mark your calendars for Wednesday December 28th, 2005

We are returning to—The Midtown Diner, 552 College Street, Toronto (M6G 1B1 for those of you using mapquest). For those of you who did not attend last years event, the Pub is on  the north side of College street, between Euclid and Manning (or Bathurst and Ossington if you need the bigger streets).

This event is free to all alumni members in good standing and only $5 to guests.  We provide the venue, the snacks and the spirit!

For this year, we introduce the first annual HSRSA association pub nite photo contest. The winner will be the one who remembers to take photos and send them to the editor. The prize will be gratuitous praise in Issue 46 and publication of the photos in the Thunderbird.

Unfortunately due to the nature of this establishment, this event is only open to our members who are 19 years and older.

Derek Monderman (98-02), sad that he missed the 2004 event, has already advised us of his plan to come to the Alumni Pub Nite this year all the way from Edmonton, Alberta. Warner Clarke (66-70) regretting his decision to spend the 2004 Pub Nite on the Gulf of Mexico, has also committed to come to the 2005 Pub Nite. Advised of these possibilities, the Midtown Diner management decided to renovate to accommodate the potential larger numbers of alumni attendees, sadly removing the pool table in the process. However, we are negotiating HSRSAA 2005 Trails Weekend Trivia Champs Jeff Lake (76-77) and Mark Purcell (80-84, 90-92) to issue a trivia challenge to the assembled hordes.
