Derek Vlug (95,96,97)
July 5, 2008 - Derek Vlug served for three
summers at Haliburton Scout Reserve as Staff-in-Training, Waterfront/Archery
Instructor and Waterfront Instructor.
He was a member of the 2nd Highland Creek
Scout Group in Toronto's West Hill for 9 years from Beavers to Scouts. There he
met Andrew Gough (95-99). Derek camped three summers at HSR with the 2nd
HC before joining the staff.
Derek graduated from
Sir Wilfred Laurier University
in Kitchener, Ontario with a degree in Economics and Accounting. He is a member
of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, was part of the Emergency Response team on
campus, foot patrol van driver, executive member of the Ski Club and played on
various of intramural sports teams.
He is currently
a Sales & Leasing Consultant
with
Courtesy
Chevrolet Ltd
in Etobicoke.
