Brad Grabham (97,98,99,00,01*)
July 2004 - Brad worked at HSR for five
years from 1997 to 2001 where he served as Staff-in-Training, Trapper,
Trapper/Maintenance, Senior Rappelling Instructor and Staff Assistant. In addition, Brad worked on yearbook and plaque committees, parade night
float and co-captained the staff cricket team.
In 2000 he was the recipient of the
Supervisor's Award bestowed annually
to staff who actively demonstrates belief in the Scout Law and Promise. In
2001 he was
awarded the HSR Staff Alumni Bursary.
Brad attended
Brock University in St Catherines, completing a 5-year Business
Administration course with a specialization in finance.
He was one of ten Brock University students honoured for their outstanding leadership and contributions within the
University and the community as recipients of the inaugural President's Surgite
Awards. The President's Surgite Awards recognize
students for their outstanding achievements, which could include demonstrating
exemplary leadership in a student club, organization, association or team,
advancing Brock's academic reputation, making a significant contribution to
student life at Brock, or providing a valuable service to Brock or the broader
community.
Brad was involved with Business
Administration: Brock Business Ambassador co-ordinator, Vice-President of
Finance for ACE Brock, Students in Free Enterprise competitor; volunteer
activity includes 2003 Chair of City of St. Catherine's Easter Egg Hunt for
children, Junior Achievement advisor. In 2004 Brad spend
several months studying in France and touring Europe.
