Albert Fuchigami (90,91,92,93)
August 23, 2008 - Albert worked at HSR for
four summers and served as a Staff-in-Training, Maintenance Apprentice and
Waterfront Instructor. In his final year, he was award the
Supervisor's
Award given to
"the HSR Staff member who
actively demonstrated his belief in the Scout
Law and Promise." For
many years since then, he has continued to volunteer his time, enthusiasm and a
particular expertise in maintaining sailboats with minimal resources.
Albert was extremely involved with the Ontario Rover Council
serving as Chair and in May 2002 was awarded the R.S. Dell Award
for the Rover who "shows devotion to duty, family, community, Scouting and Rovering".
He was also a member of the 1st Kennabi Rovers.
He is currently a software developer with PEER Group Inc and is an advisor for
the University of Waterloo Rover Crew. Albert is
