Tom Donaghy (80,81)
July 2008 - Tom served at HSR for two summers as a
Staff-in-Training and a Composite Scout Counsellor. For a number of years, Tom
worked with fellow alumni member
Mark Purcell (80-84,90-92) to run the 5th Lansing Cub Pack in Toronto.
Tom succumbed to lung cancer in April
2008.
 "Thomas
Anthony Donaghy died peacefully at home on April 23, 2008, at the age of 43. Tom
will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Siobhan, and by his treasured
children, Liam and Hannah. Much-loved son of Maureen and the late Michael
Donaghy, and steadfast brother of Greg (Mary), Mary, and Fionnuala (Philippe).
Loving son-in-law of Patrick and Bridget Murphy and brother-in-law of Elaine
(Dave). Tom will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
and cousins. He will be mourned by the many friends he made in his parish, at
St. Michael’s College School, and in the University of Toronto’s Faculties of
Forestry and Law, as well as by his supportive and loyal colleagues at the
Attorney General’s office. A dedicated husband and father, Tom was also a
passionate outdoorsman, a talented musician, a tireless gardener, and a
highly-respected Crown Attorney."
