Ian Buffett (79,80,81,82)
March 31, 2007 - Ian grew up
in Scarborough and was a cub and a scout, especially enjoying camping at HSR.
His first summer as a Staff in Training (IT) was in 1979, followed by three
summers as Waterfront Instructor. In 1982 he was the recipient of the
Purple Bead
Award. Ian's older brother's
Bruce (74-78) and Chris (77-81) also worked at HSR.
Ian attended the
University of Guelph and
graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Following graduation, he
worked in Simcoe, Ontario for two years, working with farm animals and pets.
Since 1991, he has been working in Toronto, and now has a house-call practice,
incorporating acupuncture and chiropractic with conventional medicine.
Ian lives in Toronto with his long time girlfriend, three dogs
and a cat. He can be reached at
