Ted Aylan-Parker (61,63,64,65,66,71,80,81,82,83,
84,85,90,91,92,93,94,95,96,97,98,99,00,01,03,04*****)

5, 2008 - Ted
worked at HSR for an incredible and record setting twenty-six summers since 1961
serving as a Troop Leader (later to become the staff-in-training program), Composite Assistant
Scoutmaster, Composite Skipper, Composite
Co-ordinator, Programme Supervisor, Co-Director, Camp Director
and Ranger.
In later years he was joined at camp
by his wife Pam (80-85,90-01,03-04),
son Peter (90-94,96-97) and
daughter Christie (94-96).
In recognition of his long and
distinguished contribution to the camp and the legacy that he left to it, Ted
was made a Life Member of the HSR Staff Alumni Association.
He
has also served for many years as a leader and Chair with the 1st Caledonia Scout Group Committee.
Ted retired as a guidance counsellor at
Sir John A Macdonald Secondary School in Hamilton in June 1999 but continues to
work part time for Scouts Canada in the
Central Ontario Administrative Centre
facilities department.
He and Pam are still living in
Caledonia, Ontario and can be reached at
