Couple share Citizen-of-the-Year
"Deciding to make Caledonia their family home many years ago has paid off for
award recipients and for Caledonia, too.
Although nominated separately, Ted Aylan-Parker and Pamela
Aylan-Parker were chosen as co-winners of the Caledonia Regional Chamber of
Commerce’s annual Citizen of the Year. The awards were presented Tuesday
night. “I didn’t even know where Caledonia was,” said Ted accepting his
accolade. The Aylan-Parkers moved here 37 years ago because Pamela wished to
raise her family in a small town.
Since then, the pair have made a name for themselves through self-less
volunteering. Ted has most recently been chair of the Canada Day Committee and
Pamela heads up Tourism Caledonia".
Pam lives in Caledonia and can be reached
